Prayer Shawl Ministry

The mission of the Prayer Shawl Ministry is to bring the comfort and warmth of God’s love to those who are suffering, and support and love to those who are experiencing a special joy in their lives. It is a unique way of reaching out to the community in a very tactile way. A prayer shawl can be seen as a symbolic “hug” from God. Founded in 2004, their dedicated members have created and donated thousands of shawls and lap throws to those who are sick and convalescing, thousands of baby hats to hospitals for their newborn babies, and hundreds of baby blankets have been given to the newly baptized babies of our parish. This Ministry meets every fourth Friday of the month at 10:00 AM in St. Casimir’s Church Hall. All are welcome to join them.
